Datasheet for LIN option CANOE and DENOE 
LIN (Local Interconnect Network) is
a cost-effective and deterministic communication system for connecting
ECUs with smart sensors and actuators.
DENoe.LIN and CANoe.LIN
DENoe.LIN and CANoe.LIN provide unrivalled features
for developing and testing LIN networks.
Advanced Development Features:
- Simulation and analysis of LIN networks/nodes
according to LDF
- Automatic modelling and simulation of LIN2.0
reconfiguration
- Functions for modelling node application and
gateways
- Interactive manipulation of scheduler, frames,
and signals
- Support of LIN diagnostics
Advanced Test Features (requires
an XL interface):
Both tools also provide you with special functions for defining, controlling
and reporting user-defined LIN node tests. A full implementation of the
LIN2.0 Conformance Tests for Master and Slave nodes is included in the
scope of delivery. Conformance Tests for J2602 are in preparation.
Advanced Stress Functions (requires
an XL interface):
To stress your LIN network with DENoe.LIN and CANoe.LIN, no special hardware
is required. Together with the Vector XL-interfaces, the included LIN
Stress Feature Set provides you with a complete set of functions for stimulating
errors and manipulating the LIN protocol.
Advanced Timing Analysis (requires
an XL interface):
DENalyzer.LIN and CANalyzer.LIN also provide you with highly accurate
timing information, e.g:
- Start and end of frame time-stamps
- End of byte and end of header time-stamps
- Sync break, sync delimiter and wakeup signal
length
- Baudrate and oscillator tolerance of Master and
Slave nodes
Open Interfaces
Using DENoe/CANoe.LIN open interfaces, you can
easily communicate with third-party and user applications:
- Panel interface for integrating ActiveX Controls
- COM interface for integrating VisualBasic panels
- COM server for remote control by external applications
DENalyzer.LIN and CANalyzer.LIN
The popular software tools DENalyzer.LIN and CANalyzer.LIN
provide you with the professional measurement and analysis features of
DENoe/CANoe.LIN.

Interfaces:
- CANcardXL is a compact
PC card (type II) and is ideally suited for applications running on
notebooks and desktop PCs.
- CANcaseXL is a robust
and versatile hardware interface supporting the USB 2.0 interface.
- CANcaseXL log combines
a reliable and robust data logger with a professional CAN/LIN bus interface
for USB 2.0.
- CANboardXL is the hardware
interface for PCI and is best-suited for desktop applications.
- CANboardXL pxi is
the ideal hardware interface for industrial applications running on
Compact PCI or PXI hardware.
- CANboardXL PCIe
Network transceivers are available as so-called
LINcabs or CANcabs
for the CANcardXL and as LINpiggies or CANpiggies for the CANcaseXL and
CANboardXL. The LINcabs and LINpiggies are opto-decoupled and can be powered
either internally or externally in the range 6-18V. A LINcab/piggy for
24V networks will be available soon.
For the easy acquisition of analog and digital I/O signals, Vector also
offers a configurable I/O interface cable for the CANcardXL.
The XL-Driver
Library provides you with an innovative PC programming interface for
creating your own LIN and CAN applications with Vector’s XL-hardware.

- CANister - flexible
and freely configurable LIN and CAN node for production and field testing.
- CANlog 4 - advanced
programmable data logger for LIN and CAN.
